About the Project
EduSpark, a passionate early-stage EdTech startup, had an ambitious goal: create a microlearning platform for high school students in underserved regions. Despite a strong mission, their roadmap lacked structure, pricing was unclear, and the team was misaligned on key priorities.
Through our business strategy coaching, we led EduSpark through a 90-day sprint to sharpen their focus, validate assumptions, and build a lean but solid business foundation. Using a hands-on approach, we combined strategic facilitation with weekly coaching sessions for the co-founders and key team members.
Key Coaching Interventions:
Structured the business model around a freemium tier with academic partners
Co-created a value proposition canvas tailored for students and teachers
Identified pilot school partners and validated key features with real users
Designed a 12-month milestone map tied to product, growth, and funding targets
Impact Within 3 Months:
Launched MVP to a 400-student pilot group
Secured two school district endorsements
Improved team workflow using agile planning frameworks
Increased pre-seed investor interest (3 active discussions underway)
This case highlights the power of structured coaching for startups trying to translate passion into a scalable, sustainable business model — without losing their impact-driven mission.
